27 cases of dengue infection in Dhading

27 cases of dengue have been detected in Dhading by local clinics and the district hospital.The infection is high at the district headquarters and the surrounding areas.

A team from Epidemiology and Disease Control Division form the capital has reached Dhading for research and awareness campaign.

The district hospital is witnessing a drastic rise in the number of patients coming for checkup.

According to the locals, dengue infection has increased due to inefficient waste management. Dengue is transmitted by the bite of an Aedes mosquito infected with any one of the four dengue viruses. The only way to control or prevent dengue virus transmission is combat vector mosquitoes and pay attention to personal and environmental sanitation.
