For the purpose of sharing information and promoting awareness of breast cancer to women, October has been a month designated to Breast Cancer Awareness As Breast Cancer Awareness Month is being celebrated all over the world to raise awareness about breast cancer and its health effects there has been an increase in the number of breast cancer patients in the country. In 1985, the first Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM) was observed in the United States. With the founding of The Breast Cancer Research Foundation in 1993, the pink ribbon, which had previously been used to symbolize breast cancer, was chosen as the symbol for breast cancer awareness.Pink ribbon is the international symbol for breast cancer awareness .

I am very much thankful to the program coordinator Dr.Sujata Hirachan and President of Rotaract Club of Pokhara GMC Dr.Ram Adhikari for such a golden opportunity.
