Missing Two Rhinos from Parsa

Rhinos are missing from Parsa National Park since last year. Two male's rhinos went to Rautahat last year and didn't return back.

According to the park personnel, four rhinos used to go Rautahat regularly and return back. But this year two rhino's didn't return back.

Last year, one rhino was shot by the poacher while traveling from Rautahat to Parsa.

The rhino was immediately sent to Chitwan National Park for treatment but unfortunately it died after 15 days. Two months ago one of the returned rhino was sent to Chitwan National Park for protection. Conservationists are more concerned about the safety of those two rhinos. According to Assistant warden of the national park, Ashok Ram, The chances of human and wildlife conflict will increase if those rhinos stay outside the conservation area.

He said," The rhinos living outside the park are more dangerous."

There is no sufficient food in Rautahat which is 60 kilometer far from the Park.
