One Lakh people have been rescued



More than one lakh people have been rescued in floods and landslides triggered by incessant rainfall in several districts across Nepal.

However, access to affected population still remains a significant issue as many major transportation routes are damaged or disrupted. Authorities and humanitarian Partners reached more affected area due to improved weather over the last two days.

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MOHA) authorities estimate that 7 thousand houses destroyed due to flood. According to MOHA, at least one hundred 23 killed, 39 are injured and 35 persons are still reported missing. Nepal Red cross society (NRCS) has reported 75 thousand families affected and 18 thousand Three hundred 20 families are temporarily displaced.
