The rhinos have a single black horn between 20-60 cm long and a grey-brown hide with skin folds, which give it an armor-plated appearance. Female rhinos sexually become matured at the age of 5-7 years old, while males mature at about 10.
The one-honored rhino found only in India and Nepal. CNP has the highest number of one horned rhinos in the country. According to the latest census, the park currently has 605 rhinos.
